Room 404
Four years, one room, and the same murder nobody can explain.
The story
This room is not on the building plan or in the tenants’ register. It has only a number, 404, and a floor split into four equal parts. The same window, the same ceiling, the same wardrobe, but each part stands in a different year: 1953, 1986, 2019 and 2052.
In three of them the same murder took place, each time 33 years after the last, and no investigation ever got close to an answer. The 1953 report states that the victim had been talking to people who were not born until 1986. The fourth murder is still waiting for its year. You are standing in a room where all four times overlap, and you do not yet know which one you are in.
